Thousands attend President Trump's Gastonia rally, Trump hints at AVL visit

Gastonia Municipal Airport was packed shoulder to shoulder Wednesday night as tens of thousands of people showed up to President Donald Trump's Make America Great Again rally.

Trump spoke for more than an hour, warning of what America will become if former Vice President Joe Biden is elected president.

The president also talked a lot about the coronavirus, saying it's "rounding a corner." Trump said he is working to make the antibody cocktail he received free for everyone and he will have vaccines ready by the end of the year.

Temperatures were checked at the door, masks were encouraged and people entering were also given masks. But, fewer than a quarter of people wore masks. There was also little to no social distancing

Trump hinted at a possible Asheville visit, saying, "Asheville, we’ll be there soon."
